Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in the evening, you are supposed to complete all the custom formalities and meet our representative outside who will be welcoming you in our traditional way with flower garland. The representative then will transfer you to hotel where we provide you delightful welcome dinner.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu and Trip Preparation
After breakfast, we will visit World Heritage Sites: Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath. In the evening, we meet the entire trekking team and our tour guides for the preparation of the Trek.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding
After breakfast, we will head to the local airport for an amazing trip to Lokla, a gateway to Khumbu and Everest area. From Lokla, we start trips and after one hour we will be in Cheplung village from where we have a glimpse of Mt. Khumbila (18,900 feet), a sacred mountain that is not climbed yet. From Cheplung, we then gradually descend until we get to Phakding and spend the night there.
Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Spending night at Phakding we trek towards Namche Bazaar. We cross Dudh Koshi River and pass through pine forest from Chumoa to Monjo, the entrance to Everest National Park. And after we pass Jorsale village we walk alongside of the DudhKoshi and BhoteKoshi rivers. If the weather is good then at one hour’s distance to Namche Bazzar, we can see the sights of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse.
Day 05: Rest day at Namche Bazzar (Acclimatization Day)
Namche Bazaar is the best place to explore the day and the main center of the Solukhumbu area. Our guide takes you to the Everest viewing point to see all stunning mountain views. If you have plenty of time to explore today, visit the Sherpa Museum and then stay overnight at Namche Bazaar.
Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Khumjung
We will leave early for hiking to the Everest View Hotel around an hour above Namche for a magnificent panoramic view of the Himalayas and a wonderful view of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. We will continue climbing up to the Khumjung village that surrounds Kondge, Thamserku and Khumbila. Here we visit the Edmund Hillary School and the Khumjung Monastery.
Day 07: Trek from Khumjung to Phakding
Today we head to Kyanjuma, another small village with few homes. This small place will give us views very close to the tops of Ama Dablam known as one of the world's beautiful mountains. We may enjoy a cup of tea or coffee before moving to Phakding via Namche Bazaar. From Kyanjuma the path is flat until we get to Namche Bazaar and then down until we reach Jorsalle and Monjo. Here we will have lunch and continue on our journey towards Phakding across many small villages.
Day 08: Trek from Phakding to Lukla
We will walk across the Dudh koshi river and the green hill scenery. We will pass many small Sherpa villages. During this part of the walk we may see many Jokyo. Jokyo are the cross of Cows and Yak. Jokyo is used to transport local transport and carry trip equipment. It takes 5 hours walking from Josalle to Lukla.
Day 09: Fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu
To fly back to Kathmandu, we will have an early flight which is about 35 to 40 minutes. After landing at Kathmandu airport our representatives will be there to receive you and they will be transferring you back to hotel room. You can have rest in your room or else can explore the shops and restaurants nearby
Day 10: Final departure from Kathmandu.
Your adventure in Nepal ends today. A representative from the Adventure Steps Nepal will take you to the airport, approximately 3 hours before the time of the flight.
On your way home, you will have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
